"Very important. General rule for English speakers - if you don’t do it in the human context, don’t do it in the nonhuman context.
Just make a little effort to say “she or he” or “her or him” if you don’t know the sex. It’s a little effort with a very important social message.
Nonhuman animals are *persons*, not *things*. Therefore, we should refer to a nonhuman animal as a “she” or “he,” never as an “it.””
if you use the bible as an excuse towards being anti gay dont forget that:
- torn clothes (like ripped jeans)
- wearing clothing made from 2 different fabrics
- cutting your hair
- and working on Sundays
are all listed as abominations in the bible as well
"Ever wonder why cheese is an especially hard animal product for people to quit? It is, quite literally, addictive. As Dr. Michael Greger points out in one of his excellent NutritionFacts.org videos, if people are given an opiate blocker, they eat significantly less cheese. Is this what we want to be putting in our bodies?”
I LOVE FRUIT!!!
